Is the L punch several times a way to defeat the “roll Marseille”?
It’s funny how the guy says in the C HP QCF LK, super combo he says it’s a good way to finish them off, when in fact Abel says (in the english dub) “This’ll finish ya off!”

@CosmicPassion u gotta do the marseilles roll input, i htink, directly after the second hit, or in between the first and second hit on down hard punch.
That crouching Elbow attack seems like the Key to everything.
Dont ever do the first combo on this vid IMO…. you could do just about anything else and get more damage. if you land a forward jumping roundhouse you can elbow guaranteed. from there you can falling sky , super, ultra or try some mix ups- but you’ll never land a forward jumping roundhouse unless they’re stunned, lol. Its really hard.

he does the launching elbow and the Marseilles Roll from the falling sky (the air grab)…but he said he cancels. How the hell do you cancel with that combination to do that?
I just bought the game i don’t know how to cancel properly.( I’ve got this game for x-box 360. )
this is good stuff bro but his grab in the air is beastly… all u need to do is time it good…. i use it ALL the time it works about 75 80% of the time
@Krooks44 yep, but thats a tricky approach because he can move forward and back when he does that. unfortunately everyone else’s moves have a lot more priority over the WheelKick. Another good way to damage zangief is with the standing light kick, it keeps him at bay and does good damage if you land it consistently. very good normal attack. I also recommend forward MK + forward + HP + Change of Direction + FADC + Crouching HP + Falling Sky
@RotaryPoweredRX You can catch him with the wheel kick right at the end of his lariat as well…

@TheRathalos1 not really =) got and practice. practice a lot. seth is a bitch and really lame but he has low hp. so learn the matchup and learn when and what u can punish. then play defensivly and youll surely win =)
this game fucking sucks you cant beat seth with him its to damn complicated on the 360
@amuro0093 glad i could help, and Abel does have a lot of very effective air attacks, the jumping HK is one of my favorite ways to end a match

@amuro0093 if you’re still having trouble fighting zangief w/ abel, the best thing to do is always keep your distance and anticipate his attacks. If he is spamming his Lariat, you can approach this with a Low Hard Kick, make sure you are far away as possible put still have range to connect your attack. You can also do an EX Change of direction (down to forward punch) Usually it will land before he hits you twice. IF you need to counter attack him jumping at you, hit him with a jumping HK
I would not recomend anyone to use that first combo of jumping HK Crounching HK. Abels jumping Hk is very hard to land on standing or crounching opponents and its really meant to be used as a air-air attack as you can see by the angle his leg points when he kicks. Crounching Hk is also very slow and unsafe on block in you don’t cancel out of it.

Your best friends against Zangief is standing forward medium kick. It covers a lot of ground and if you’re ABEL to link that kick + dash into standing hard punch, your chances will be A LOT better. With Zangief, you just gotta be very careful… take chances when crossing him up… tick throws… etc.

for my the best thing vs zangief me as abel go far away from him then use the kick i dont remenber teh name of the attack but quarter circle back + kick and try to grab him it work
