@gummyboots the mask is not of his father… dan was originally a parady character of art of fighting… capcom and art of fighting developers had some problems in the past and capcom decided to add a half a$s art of fighting clone character as a joke which was dan in SF alpha and the mask is a spin off of mr karate from art of fighting
@gummyboots The fact of the matter is Capcom was lazy with his costumes. You said it made him look serious but it doesnt.. He still has the same clothes on with just a mask.. okay kinda of like ken’s 1st alternate his Gi with sneakers on.. not much of a difference.
Then Dan with protective gear on (training dummby) but still with the same clothes..again LAZY. The brazilian costume was actually alright it was a different look but 3 out of 4 costumes he’s waering his Gi what do you call that?
@FighterAllStarHD besides what else could they have gave him? evil dan would have just been him with an angry face and red eyes. and the mask is of his father Gou Hibiki(same with the guy jumping out of no where shooting lasers in gem fighter), HOW DO YOU NOT KNOW THIS AND YOU ARE A FAN OF STREETFIGHTER?

IDK how that makes him look serious haha I mean do you even know where that mask came from? It came from “Super Gem Fighter” a Non-Serious game.
In Super Gem fighter dan parodied off Akuma with an evil side appearntly and that mask was the the other Dan, Evil Dan. But it was from a Kiddie game… they GOT LAZY

Dan’s costume is so wack
All of you shut up, Dans costume is cool. It actually makes Dan look serious(until you see him fight) and it has more bold and rustic colors. Not to mention the black and Grey skinned color looked downright evil.
ken+long hair= SEEEXY
theres no point in buying costume, cause if the other player doesnt have the costumes. it wont show on their screen =[ kinda sucks that they did that on the ps3 not sure about other console

The only Dan outfit it looked like they actually WORKED ON was his Brazilian clothes. I know he’s the embodiment of a running bit, but at least put SOME effort into one of the most popular characters in the game!
